It covers shrubs and vines in the Maritimes. I have been using it for 20 +years and all my mis-identification is attributed to me and poor observation. I did have to learn some biology terms but these are all in the book with illustrations. It is about the same size as the shrubs book and with a field guide cover. I use the Shrubs of NS book at home but I rarely take it with me on walks.
