At Margaretsville at about the same time (1630 on Thursday March 10)=2C I h=
ad nothing rare=2C but there were Common Loons (4)=2C about 28 Common Eider=
s=2C 8 Long-tailed Ducks=2C 6 Surf Scoters=2C and singles of Red-breasted M=
erganser=2C Black Guillemot=2C and an immature Bald Eagle (over)=2C The on=
ly gulls close enough to identify were Herring. It was a brief visit (abo=
ut 15 minutes) and I did not walk to the light nor along the shore to look =
for sandpipers.

I did my usual Thursday run along the Fundy coast from Port George to Cotta=
ge Cove today=2C this time at high tide late this afternoon. As before=2C s=
eabirds were very few and far between. However I did count 9 Harlequins=2C =
strung out along that section of coast. Otherwise there were just a few R-B=
 Mergs=2C C.Eiders=2C Surf and W-W Scoters. Not a single Loon (Yellow-bille=
d or otherwise).
