Red Bridge Pond, Waverly, NS

It was a beautiful sunny and calm day at *Red Bridge Pond* in Waverly
today. There were a number of ducks cruising around and feeding as follows:

15 American Wigeon
1 Eurasian Wigeon (m)
1 Gadwall
1 Mallard (m)

Yesterday on the *Salt Marsh Trai*l in Cole Harbour there were a few
birds as follows. There was a cold wind blowing, the tide had just
turned to go out when I was there and there was not much activity. The
Bald Eagle nest near the Ready-Eye-Ready bridge was not on the nest.

1 Black-headed Gull
35 Common Eider
1 Dark Eyed Junco
2 Song Sparrows

I added several pictures of the ducks to my 2011 online gallery at
http://scranlocker.smugmug.com/photos/swfpopup.mg?AlbumID=15878194&AlbumKey=p5bYD
