Hi all
Sorry
I responded to the wrong message earlier and as a result probably does not make a lot of sense but while out this evening (May 1) in some showers, I had 4 Bonapartes
Gulls, 3 Greater Yellowlegs, 1 Willet at Lyons Brook.
At the Pictou Waterfront near the DeCoste centre there was an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull in high breeding plumage. I saw it a few minutes later at Pier C in Pictou where I secured some nice photos. Also at the pier were 5 Iceland Gulls, none of which were adult. There were 2 pair of Wood Ducks in a small pond on Braeshore. From ther Pictou Lodge, a pair of Long-tailed Ducks, 4 Surf Scoter, 10 Common Eiders and a couple of gannets. On the TCH 106 from the Pictou rotary to Caribou ferry terminal, I was able to entice
a Sora to reply to my vocal rendition. No sign of terns back yet to Ballast I. in Abercrombie, but soon I suspect.
cheers
ken
