Aren't they awful, Angela?  I used to have a lot of lilies, various 
kinds, but thanks to these monsters I now have none.  Have read in 
gardening mags. that the best way to deal with them is hand picking, as 
you have done.  I wasn't able to keep up with them.  Good luck!
