Hi All
This morning while tending some newly rooted azaleas, I disturbed the most beautiful spider I've seen in a long time.
It was about 20 mm long and about 8 mm wide with sturdy legs. The abdomen was medium tan, a lovely shade with nice texture and the thorax a chocolate brown and a light strip of tan down the middle. a couple of light tan strips on the sides. Nature has some beautiful things.
Spiders were always well regarded in our family and it was not good luck to kill one. As the azaleas had rooted well I assumed this fellow was a good luck sort of guy.
Enjoy the spring
Paul
