Hi all
After a week of unpredictable arrival times for the Temperance St. school Chimney Swifts, all returned to normal last night. I arrived at 8:15 and within a few minutes, 2 then 15-20 arrived and started to circuit around the chimney A few went in at 8:25, but numbers increased and the bulk of birds entered between 8:48-8:48. My total for the evening
was 288.
I believe the cold weather, wind and rain from the last week has either kept the birds in the chimney for parts of the day or having them go in about 30-50 min. earlier than normal. Lets hope with warmer weather forecast the show will be good for the NS Bird Society meeting at the Temperance St. school at 7 p.m. on Sat. May 28.

cheers
ken
