Jim,

What a spectacle it must have been!! The images are amazing - thanks to Ralph and you for bringing them to our attention!! I was wondering if there was much mortality associated with the event?
Cheers,
Bob McDonald

  Subject: [NatureNS] migration event

On the 25th of May a major migration event occurred on MAchias Seal Island that was documented by the lighthouse keeper, Ralph Eldridge. I though naturens subscribers might be interested in seeing some of the pictures he posted. Go to his website http://www.pbase.com/lightrae/naturenb and scroll down to the last dozen pictures to see the incredible fallout of warblers on the wires and railings around the lighthouse.
