With all the excellent reporting on swifts, I wonder If I might insert
a request that someone try for a good photo of one of them in flight,
preferably from the side with wings full extended, like the one that
Hans Toom photographed late in the wake of Hurricane "Wilma." See it at:

That bird seems to have some features of Vaux's (which some were
looking for after "Wilma" stormed in from the Caribbean). Although it
probably would not be enough for acceptance on a NS list, the
comparison would be instructive nonetheless.
