It is indeed a creek chub Randy.
Very common in the province but little identified.
A good minnow for trout and you will often catch big trout
where there lots of chubs.
Good fishing
Paul

Subject: [NatureNS] fish ID help needed

All,

If I asked a six year old to draw a fish, I think it would pretty much be like the one in the photo. It's your basic fish. I described it to some fishy people (that's a compliment), but didn't have the photo yet available...they thought it might be a Creek Chubb. Anyone out there know?

Thanks,
Randy
