--Boundary_(ID_GNG6H1TMFuHc+yEynOOYWQ) Content-type: text/plain; CHARSET=US-ASCII; delsp=yes; format=flowed Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT JULY 18 (Mon.), 2011 - Walk on east Evangeline Beach for shorebirds: high tide (fairly big one at 12.2 metres amplitude) was 3:43 p.m.; I walked from 5:40 to 6:15 p.m. from the former public boat launch site to the east end of the beach, i.e. the east end of the trees along the shore, east of Jean Merks' home; no shorebirds seen at all until about 6:10 p.m., just as I was nearly back to my car, when several flocks of up to 150 PEEPS (unidentified small shorebirds) each were mostly flying by from east to west along the shore; there were occasional small flocks also flying in the opposite direction; I guestimated a total of about 500++ PEEPS SEEN; nothing else to report except a few pesky flies.
