From her description of its height, it must have = been a great blue heron, but why it was in this residential area with no = ponds? is a mystery. The heron only flew a few metres and landed in a = yard there. Wendy was joined by a jogger and watched this bird walking = at fairly close range, it was not acting scared. =20 When she got back up to her home, she sent her husband Steve Slipp = back down the avenue, but he did not see the heron.
