She was walking her dog on lower Kent Ave. at 11 p.m., about 3 houses from Main St., when she flushed a BIG HERON. From her description of its height, it must have been a great blue heron, but why it was in this residential area with no ponds? is a mystery. The heron only flew a few metres and landed in a yard there. Wendy was joined by a jogger and watched this bird walking at fairly close range, it was not acting scared. When she got back up to her home, she sent her husband Steve Slipp back down the avenue, but he did not see the heron.
