I received an email today stating that the reportee had seen an immature bl=
ack vulture. I'm guessing that it likely was a turkey vulture=2C but just =
in case I'll put the context of the email through with the location. =20
=20
Just thought you might be interested to know that around 6:30 PM today=2C I=
spotted an immature Black Vulture picking at a roadkill on the shoulder of=
 the 103 in Hebb's Cross.
From a distance I thought it was a raven=2C but as I got closer I thought "=
that's one huge raven" . Once I was right along side of it=2C it was clearl=
y obvious that it was no raven.
=20
I consulted a bird book when I got home to verify what I had seen and was v=
ery shocked to discover that they normally don't range north of Pennsylvani=
a.
=20
It would have great to have a picture=2C but I knew that I would only frigh=
ten it off in trying. I do consider myself most fortunate to have spotted i=
t. =
