Hi all

While walking to the Stellarton post office today at noon break from work, I heard the tinkling of overhead Chimney Swifts and located 2 flying in the region of the Town
Office, an area where I had seen them earlier this summer. I decided to check the Temperance St. school tonight to see if they might be using this as a roost, but in the time period I observed, they did not make an appearance. However while looking at the chimney at 8:10, I saw the Space Station make a pass.
The afternoon swifts are likely using a different chimney and maybe the pair nesting or nested in the Stellarton area.
My last observations of swifts at Temperance St school were 2 at dusk Aug. 21, but I did not seem them go in. I also saw 1one go in at 8:18 Aug. 23.
I had a call from Elwin Hemphill tonight who had spoken with someone who saw the Denmark Sandhill Cranes a couple of days ago.
cheers
Ken
