Hartlen Point, NS

I made a circuit of the Hartlen Point beaches and golf course this
afternoon between 14:00 and 16:00. It was very quiet with just a
couple of small flocks of Semi-palmated Sandpipers and Least Sandpipers,
a few White-rumped sandpipers and a dozen or so Ruddy Turnstones on the
beaches (tide was very low). Only saw one American Redstart on the golf
course service road near the dump. However, as I was walking back down
the 10th fairway towards the club house a flock of 12 Whimbrels landed
on the fairway and started foraging. I got a few pictures of them which
I posted to my online gallery for those who may be interested.
