All:

Among several goodies (as usual!) on the Murrant's web site on Cape  
Breton Birds  there is a great portrait of a subadult hybrid Lesser  
black-backed X Herring Gull photographed 20 August at Glace Bay. The  
legs of this hybrid are known (like this one) to express the pink of  
the latter species, not the yellow of the LBBG parent.
