Hi Angus and all:
The young Osprey along the entrance road to Hartlen Pt. is one of two
that lingered for some weeks this fall around their (natal?) nest
atop an artificial nest platform. The other one left a week or more
ago, and this one has become relatively tame and often sits on the
nest site peeping loudly at passersby. It doesn't appear to be waiting
for a handout from its departed parents, as it's been seen at times
toting a flounder. Seems odd behaviour, but no need to be afraid {:>).
