Hi Richard
If you were sufficiently hungry and the birds were properly cooked, you would
have found Turr delicious.
My Grandfather used to tell of eating mushrat with the Natives It was delicious
but the blood running down your chin was a nuisance - didn't bother the Natives - they
didn't have a beard!
Not many folks today are real hungry when they go to eat. Makes a difference lol

BTW I have eaten puffin (I think they were roasted) as a delicacy in Iceland. I found them tough, fishy and horrible! There are probably people on NatureNS who like "Turr" (Newfoundlandese for alcids in general) and they may disagree.
