Index of Subjects <html> <body> This movie is unusual in several respects, not the least starring Steve Martin, Owen Wilson & Jack Black in a flick that is <b>not a comedy!!</b> A friend lamented not going to the movie with me since "it would have provided some great laughs".<br><br> Of course the main oddity is to feature a movie about birding & have it shown in the mainstream theatres. Did not expect that.<br><br> I presume the woman (portrayed by Anjelica Huston) doing the pelagic trips is based on Debra Shearwater who has awesome trips out of Monterey, California.<br><br> I wonder if there is a woman on Attu who announces rare birds on a loudspeaker from inside a hut?? That was funny!<br><br> Very much U.S. oriented since some of the birds they were desperately searching for could have been found easily in Canada.<br><br> Angus</body> </html>
