Richard's note below reminds me that, three days ago, I wished to
check out Canard Pond for ducks etc., BUT there was a big obstruction
where I usually start my drive on the grassy lane that is between
Canard Street (Hwy. 341?) and the edge of the pond. One of the large
willow trees had apparently blown down and is now blocking that lane,
making it nearly impossible to monitor the pond from the car, which
is what I am used to doing there. We need someone who has a chain-
saw! Of course, it is possible to try that path on foot, but I fear
most of the ducks would soon disappear, esp. during the hunting
season (now). Cheers from Jim in Wolfville.
