A report of a Snowy Owl from Hugh Cameron in Scotsville from Sunday 06
November 2011. He sent this to CBC Cape Breton's Bird Hour this
morning. It was accompanied by two photos that are now on the
Information Morning website.

'Found this Snowy owl sitting in (??) my hayfield yesterday. He just
sat there as we approached and took this picture but then flew a short
distance away and as we approached again he flew further and landed in
a large spruce tree.
I have never seen one before. Is this common in our area.
I live in Scotsville.
Hugh Cameron'

There were also two reports (likely the same bird) of a hummingbird in
Ingonish on the weekend (John Gainer and Margaret Carroll).
