It was quite awhile before Vogel appeared this morning at Red Bridge Pond & even then, it was only after I put down the mixed seed for the ducks and the Gallinule food. Today was seafood/spinach mixture and a suet block. As I retreated back to the bank, Vogel came out from its hiding spot within the reeds and sailed down toward the area where the food was, diving under and plucking spinach leaves on the surface. Appeared bright and alert. I did not get down to Banook to check on the Am. Coot but will after lunch. Sincerely, Gayle MacLean Dartmouth
