Stan Riggs reports a male Red-wing. Blackbird visiting his feeder this
morning in Coldbrook, also a flock of Cedar Waxwings have been picking off
the last of the berries from his shrubs.

Early this morning I watched a Pileated Woodpecker enthusiastically
'hammering' away on various wooden power poles along our stretch of the
Wolfville Ridge Road, covering a fair number of poles before disappearing
from view. The robin flock that was busy in the orchard across the road a
few days ago has moved on.

Cheers,

Judy Tufts
