I had two carcasses left on Saturday, so I put one in the orchard, one in the garden. Within ten minutes a Black Vulture landed in the orchard, fed for about 15 minutes, then left, not to be seen for the rest of the weekend. Given that the bears will be wandering about soon, I am reticent to get more carcasses and lay them out. Sorry if you missed the bird...maybe next year.
