Hi All=0AToday was so nice the canoe was calling for me!=0AFirst I had to g=
o to Racky Lake to see if the ice is gone.=0AIt is about 0.5 kn walk so I d=
idn't want to portage the canoe there=0Aand find it still froze up. Anyway =
the lake is about 50% open and the rest=0Aof the ice looks shakey! Tomorrow=
 for sure.=0ATwo pairs of Mallards are in the usual nesting areas but as th=
e drakes are still=0Awith the hens, the hens may not have started to lay ye=
t. On the way home, I saw 2 mallard=0Adrakes asleep on a bank. Their mates =
are probably laying already.=0AA immature Bald Eagle passed over very high =
in the air. Just a spec without binos and=0AI watched it quite a while. Cir=
cling with only a wing flap now and then. After a bit it passed of=0Ato the=
 north.=A0=0AThe Canada Holly bushes are well picked of their berries.=0AA =
little flock of 3 birds passed over them - looked like robins but as they w=
ere far away,=0Acould have been Waxwings.=0AAll in all a great day.=0AEnjoy=
 the last few days of winter.=0APaul=0A
