Lovely today & yesterday.....17-18C....why wish for Spring??

Flies, spiders & other small creatures out & about. Too windy for
flies today however...they have to fly really low. No Queen Bees
yet..usually don't see them till May 1 but you never know with these temps.
Our crocuses are not up yet but for those that are, should find
Honeybees & perhaps Andrenid Bees on them.

Snooped around the waterbodies in E. Kings.
Saxon St. Pond ...no action & very little water. Drawn down so far
that it even discourages dabbling ducks. Hoped for a Killdeer here but no luck.
Canard Pond .....a few Mallards, G/W Teal & C. Mergs. Still
ice-covered in the eastern part.
Starr's Point D/U pond ...no ducks, no geese..Van Ostrooms pond still
ice covered.
P.W. Sewage Ponds ..only a few Mallards. R/B & Iceland Gulls more in
evidence than normal at this time of year.

With the weather forecasted this coming week, we can hope for better birding.

Angus
