They were underfoot all the time and although sometimes a pest we have enjoyed having them around. Since last fall however they have virtually disappeared and it is rare to see even one. At the same time it is apparent that we have a band of feral cats living in the woods behind the house. We occasionally see one or two and hear them fighting quite often. I have to wonder of they are responsible for the loss of squirrels.
