Since we built the house 7 years ago we have been overrun with =
squirrels. They were underfoot all the time and although sometimes a =
pest we have enjoyed having them around. Since last fall however they =
have virtually disappeared and it is rare to see even one. At the same =
time it is apparent that we have a band of feral cats living in the =
woods behind the house. We occasionally see one or two and hear them =
fighting quite often. I have to wonder of they are responsible for the =
loss of squirrels.

Most cats love a tasty bit of feisty squirrel, chipmunk and birds of all =
sizes, shapes and colours, and mice, moles, voles, butterflies, moths, =
bats. (just eat the toes on some of these critters). It is that hunting =
instinct that some humans have.......sadly.
