Hi All
I enjoyed Friday evening in Keji on the river.
There was a pair of Bitterns - one on each side of me
pumping their song. As there was long grass for them to hide
I didn't see them but hearing them was no problem.
Lots of Red Winged Blackbirds nesting along the river.
They kept calling with their nice voices and fly out in the alders
as I passed in the canoe.
Swallows were plentiful also. At one point, a Sharp Shinned
Hawk flew by with an escort of 25 swallows. She didn't appear
to enjoy their company and was hurrying along.
A Barred Owl was calling as I paddled back to the truck.
A delightful evening.
Enjoy the spring
Paul
