I found the PIWO? nest without difficulty in late afternoon. It is
about 3/5 of the way up a tall poplar trunk, and, when I found the
large hole, the male pileated woodpecker was cooperatively sticking
his head out and wondering about me? The address is 60 Kent Avenue,
and I have it on good authority that the owners won't mind
birdwatchers taking a look from the back yard.
