Hi Jim
Dogbane it is. Thanks very much.( It is a real butterfly magnet. I had 4 =
species on it at 6 pm yesterday afternoon in one little section of ditch =
in Georgeville (Ant.)). I guess it is why I had dogwood in my head. =
Interesting, this shrub is not in Fielding's "Shrubs of NS" as far as I =
can see.=20
After I wrote my note to naturens, I got out for an hour in Meilkefield =
in French River square (20NR 44) before thunder storm and rain sent me =
home. I was able to document, Pink-edged Sulphur, Questionmark, =
Silver-bordered Fritillary, Great Spangled Fritillary. Common Ringlet, =
and European Skipper. I have a photo of the back of one of those =
orange-black thingies I have not decided what to call it yet. I missed =
Can Tiger Swallowtail, White Admiral and Eyed Brown. The latter 2 I =
tried to photo, but should have used the net as they got away. =
Sometimes it is hard to figure which technique has the most success. The =
Swallowtail was on a non-stop mission somewhere!

cheers
Ken
