I have a question that has nagged me for a while... Has the moth population
dropped because of the switch to modern light street bulbs which do not emit
heat?

,,,,,,,
Hi Jim, and all,

I am not planning anything in particular, but will try to have the lamps on
here at night all that week. I should probably mention that moths have been
a bit slow here at my place which is along Round Hill Brook just a stone's
throw from the Annapolis River. Evenings have been quite cool here until
this week- I think the proximity to the Bay of Fundy and a tidal river has a
lot to do with that. Anyhow, so far there have not been too many moths
compared to past summer, although there were Polyphemus and Luna moths this
week, and as many as 4 species of Sphinx in an evening.

I Regards,
Bev Wigney
(at Round Hill, NS, in summer)
