<html> <body> <font size=3D3>Earlier in the week there were 9 S/B Dowitchers (all griseus), 1 Killdeer, Phoebe, the f. Wood Duck & the numerous Mallards at Miner's Marsh.. <br><br> The only butterfly species were Clouded Sulphur & Cabbage Butterfly.<br><br> There was one large bee which appeared to be Psithyrus insularis. This group (Psithyrus) is parasitic on Bumble Bees but are rarely seen (at least by me). Unfortunately I did not get a photo.<br><br> It would be interesting to compile a bird list for Miner's Marsh. It had greenish skin around the eye, suggesting breeding plumage. It stayed hunkered down on one of the islands, behind a grass tussock., and hardly moved - it somehow didn't look very healthy.
