It seems that the post-breeding dispersion of warblers turned into true
migration this last week of July. The number of flight calls dramatically
increased and included warbler species that are known to migrate early in
the fall season. The American Redstart was by far the most common warbler
that could be identified to the species level. The summary of night flight
calls heard from the evening of July 27 to the morning of August 3 over
Doctor's Brook in Antigonish County is as follows:
