Hi Everyone=2C
For the past week there has only been one signifiant movement of birds on B=
rier Island and that was on Saturday=2C August 25. NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH was=
 the most common species encountered.=20
The only rarity seen so far was a YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT which was seen on We=
dnesday=2C August 22.=20
Regarding the question of an early or late migration=2C young GOLDEN-CROWNE=
D KINGLETS and BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLERS are about a week ahead of wher=
e they normally are at this time. The species seen are basically those expe=
cted at this time of year however there are some exceptions. A BLUE-HEADED =
VIREO was encountered last week which is about 2+ weeks ahead of what we no=
rmally expect and the large number of NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH being seen are a=
bout a week ahead.
From this is appears that there may be some compression of this year's fall=
 migration. Most species appear to be about a week ahead of where they usua=
lly are and some of the later migrants are showing signs of moving quite a =
bit earlier. This next week's migration should hopefully shed some more lig=
ht on this.
All the best=2C
Lance
