I would try selectively swabbing a mixture of thin corn starch gruel and =
cayenne pepper onto grapes where they are most likely to feed.

Subject: Grapes and Raccoons was [NatureNS] Breakfast at Portuguese =
Cove

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how one can keep =
raccoons away from grapes? My Dad has Concords growing around the eaves =
of the house in Bedford, and the last two years the raccoons have really =
taken their toll of them. He has always taken pride in supplying the =
church with some handsome clusters for decoration at Harvest =
Thanksgiving, but at the rate they are disappearing (even though they =
aren't yet quite ripe) there may not be any this year.
