We are enjoying an amazing day in White Point. Aside from the sun and
warmth, or because of those factors, we have more butterflies about than I
would see in an average summer. Today we have Red Admirals, Monarchs as well
as a couple sulphers, (I think) and a few that I am completely at a loss to
id. I tried to get photos, got several with multiple creatures at a single
feeding station.

I have a few tomatoes that decided to rot and I just let them go. The
insects including butterflies and dragonflies love them! They feed for an
extended time and are pretty much approachable at that time, mind you with
calm and caution. One I have never noted before was a small, cabbage
butterfly size but the loveliest shade or orange/coral I have ever seen. I
wasn't able to get close to that one. I will try to find it online. My
sister, the 'bug person', is on holiday, wouldn't you know. No sooner was
she out my driveway, than it showed up.
Best regards, Marg Millard, White Point
