Hi All=0AToday was so nice a friend and I went for a paddle=0Aon a river wh=
ere we have been paddling for many years.=0AIt used to be the river came be=
tween clay banks . The SAouth=0Abank is at the edge of a Red Maple flood pl=
ain, the north bank=0Aat the edge of a grassy meadow. No human activity in =
the area=0Aexcept maybe a few canoes, anglers or others passing by.=0AThe r=
iver has ate away at the south bank and undermined the red maples=0Asome of=
 which have fallen into the river. This has made a big pile of wood=0Awhich=
 has slowed the water and pushed the flow over so now its eating the=0Anort=
h bank. Slowly the river changes course. Very interesting to those=0Awho li=
ke to watch slow changes.=0AThe dragon flies - Meadowhawks were out in abun=
dance - as soon as we stopped the=A0=0Atruck they were on it and on our clo=
thes all day. Pretty fellows.=0AOther flies are plentiful also.=0AA beaver =
has collected a pile of alders and stored them along a bank for winter=0A=
=0Asupplies. As the pile is not connected to a house it must be a lone fell=
ow.=0AEnjoy the fall=0APaul
