I think your correct on this one.  My hubby has survival suits for all of
his crew but they don't have epirbs, but his life raft is equipped with one.
It wouldn't surprise me if the regulations changed as a result of the bounty
accident.

I am not absolutely certain on this, but I believe survival suits with built
in EPIRBS are on the market, but simply are not mandatory for commercial use
yet.
I do think it is on the way though and this accident will no doubt
accelerate the process.
