When I looked down a chipmunk was sitting there looking sleepy but awake. It was sitting in the sun in the shade of the wood that I had split. I went and got the little thing some shelled peanuts and it ate a couple but made no effort to carry them off and store them. Soon it went back in the wood I guess to go back to sleep.
