hi folks,
On the Kentville Trail from Miner's Marsh (not including Miner's Marsh) to
the Kentville Research Station, today, from 12:45 pm to 1:15 pm:

2 Herring Gull
2 Great Black-backed Gull
26 Rock Pigeon
1 Hairy Woodpecker
6 Blue Jay
12 American Crow
3 Black-capped Chickadee
1 Red-breasted Nuthatch
2 Golden-crowned Kinglet
7 *American Robin*
1 American Tree Sparrow
3 Song Sparrow
4 Dark-eyed Junco
3 *Northern Cardinal* (2 male)
7 Pine Siskins
6 American Goldfinch
1 *Purple Finch *

This is the first *Purple Finch* I have seen/heard this year... is it just
me?

Thought I heard an Orange-crowned Warbler on the trail near the Miner's
Marsh end but could not confirm... will check again next couple of days.

cheers,
James.
