Roland, like you I still look forward to my daily visits from the doves,
finches etc. lately we have been swamped with doves and jays. Hubby
counted at least 49 doves this afternoon, amazing numbers for our yard!!

We only have occasional visits from Cardinals, not the right type of
terrain for them here. Last year we had a "couple" stay in the area for
quite a long time and I thought they may be nesting in the woods behind my
neighbour, but never saw them during the time they should have had young out
of the nest. Perhaps they nested but the hatching wasn't successful.

Dorothy

It has been a long time since I have been up your way, but it is nice to
know you are still getting some good birds in your area. Mine are
different - the ones I love to see are the mourning doves, gold finch - and
most of all, for the last two years I have had male and female cardinals
visiting me. Last summer they had some children, so occasionally I have a
couple of young ones here also.

Roland.
