In regards to comments below.  For the winter list an osprey was observed o=
n the Cape Sable Island Christmas Bird Count.  This bird was around that ar=
ea for awhile and was observed by a number of people.  If you check the Chr=
istmas Bird Count data you will find the osprey there as seen on the day of=
 the count. =20

You must have missed my sightings which included house finches=2C brant=2C =
turkey vultures=2C golden eagle (Johnny Nickerson)=2C and a few others. =20

John Sollows also saw a Sandhill Crane in Chebogue Point according to his p=
osting dated December 12=2C 2013.  He wrote=2C "As the light started to fad=
e on Chebogue Point the sound of a raven with a sore throat issued from nea=
r Jim Trefry=92s farm.  What flew by wasn=92t a raven=2C though.  Turned ou=
t to be a sandhill crane.  Nice way to end the count."
