There is a provincial park off the 103 near Yarmouth and the skunk cabbage
can be found growing just outside the chain gate and inside too. Very easy to
find. The park name escapes me right now. The entrance is off the highway
but one can see the posted park land from the 103. They usualy burn thru
the snow so the end of this month may be a prime time. Usualy someone
from down that way lets everyone know that they have started pushing thru
the ground.
If we go down that way and find them opening, I will post it here. Heather

Could someone advise about when is a good time to see skunk cabbage in
flower.
Also, are there any patches closer to Halifax than Digby Neck that are
accessible to the public?

Thanks,
Bruce Curtis
