I agree with Paul and will give you more information regarding such. 
Most trout/smallmouth/pickerel=C2=A0fisherman do not use weight or very 
little but striped bass fishermen use tons of it. The Shubie river must 
be full, they use bought=C2=A0or many use=C2=A0homemaded poured lead weight=
s to 
keep their bait on bottom. Much larger and/or more plentiful=C2=A0and 
apparently too expensive to buy nontoxic. I would think eagles and 
osprey would=C2=A0eat a lot of striped bass. I would ban all lead fishing 
weights, pronto, not just for the eagles etc but for ourselves and the 
health our of waterways.

  I suspect the problem with lead is more anglers than hunters. 
  Non lead sinkers are readily available but few anglers use them
  just why I'm not sure. It must be 20 years ago that duck hunters changed
  to non lead shot.=C2=A0 I remember doing the video for the CBC. 
  Time to lean on the anglers.
