Pat McKay and I got out this afternoon for some birding between =
Martinique Beach (12:45) and East Lawrencetown (4:00). The forecast was =
for clearing conditions after noon, but we had blowing snow and drizzle =
for most of the afternoon. Nevertheless, we had our first spring =
sightings for a number of species, and a most enjoyable afternoon. =
Highlights were:

Great Blue Heron: 5: 1 in Petpeswick Inlet near Martinique Beach, 4 =
between West Chezzetcook and Three Fathom Harbour;
Green-winged Teal:  2, Shore Road, West Chezzetcook;
Greater Yellowlegs: 1, Shore Road., West Chezzetcook;
Sanderling:  15, Martinique Beach;
Dunlin:  31, lagoon behind Martinique Beach;
Osprey:=20
    - 1 on nest, along Hwy. 7 leaving Lake Echo area;
    - 1 fishing, Lawrencetown River;
Red-winged Blackbird: 1, Grand Desert.=20

Cheers,
Susann Myers
