I think its ths abundance of berries plus
the protection the Park provides.
You will note the word "Adjunct" has been changed
to Seaside. A prettier name for a pretty spot!

Most people I talk to who have visited Keji Adjunct (generally happily) report seeing Black Bears. The bears do not seem to be after garbage and are usually seen at a distance apparently unconcerned with nearby humans.


Why are sightings so common here? Is it a food source and/or a small resident population in the park that is not easily spooked? I rarely encounter bears in this type of habitat elsewhere.
