About 1:30 this afternoon, Dave Currie and I watched the White Pelican that was in Upper South Cove near Lunenburg lift off, gain altitude, and head off strongly to the SW. We could not find it in Lower South Cove, near Felzen South, in Rose Bay, nor in the Kingsburg and Hirtle's Pond areas. Perhaps Cherry Hill would be a good place to check. Eric L.
