Hi everyone,

I have been reading that some early indications are that there appears to b=
e a marked decrease in the amount of bird song in some parts of northeaster=
n North America; even going so far as to say there is no dawn chorus (exclu=
ding the tenacious robins of course). Certainly the cold and wet weather th=
at much of the region has experienced has had a 'dampening' effect on both =
singers and listeners. I'd be interested to hear whether people in various =
parts of the province have noticed any change from past years. It may be th=
at these observations, which were made in the US, don't reflect what's happ=
ening with the birds that breed in NS but perhaps they do.

Thanks for your input,

Lance
